How It Works:

‍Fresh KDS offers flexible screen communication options to suit various kitchen workflows:

• Multi-Clear: When an order or item is cleared on one screen, it simultaneously clears on selected connected screens, keeping all stations synchronized.
• Send to Next Screen: Ideal for assembly line setups, this option allows orders to be forwarded to the next station upon completion at the current one, ensuring a smooth transition through each preparation stage.
• Prep-Expo: In this configuration, when a prep station clears an item, it gets a strikethrough on the expo screen without fully clearing the order, allowing the expo staff to monitor progress and manage final plating efficiently.

To set up screen communication, ensure all KDS screens are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. In the Fresh KDS app, navigate to Settings > Screen Communication, toggle on the feature, and configure your preferred communication options.

By implementing Screen Communication, your kitchen can achieve a higher level of coordination, reduce errors, and maintain a consistent flow of orders from preparation to delivery.
